Tetanus - is an infectious disease that affects the nervous system. Tetanus enters the body through a wound or cut. The bacteria can enter the body through even minor scratches and wounds, but is especially dangerous deep wounds from nails or blades. Tetanus bacteria are everywhere: they are often found in soil, dust and manure. Tetanus leads to a spasm of masticatory and respiratory muscles.
The cause of the disease is the bacterium Clostridium tetani. She gets into the wound and begins to produce a toxin that leads to symptoms of tetanus: muscle spasm, tension of the nerves, sensitivity, etc. At risk are primarily infants, the elderly, people who have not been vaccinated, working on farms and drug addicts. The symptoms of tetanus
